The fourth edition of the Christofle Asia Boating Awards took place on 11 April at Le Royal Meridien in Shanghai.

The event was the biggest one to date and took place during the 13th China International Boat Show, in a year that also saw the creation of the China Cup International Regatta.

Oceanco was honoured to be nominated among the few non-Asian finalists and even more delighted to receive the ‘Most Innovative Exterior Yacht Design of the Year 2008’ award for her 82m Alfa Nero. 

On 18 April, less than a week later, Alfa Nero was awarded two of the prestigious “Neptune” awards for the “Best Motor Yacht Exterior Styling” and “Best Motor Yacht Interior” at the third Boat International World Superyacht Awards ceremony held at a Gala evening in the palatial surroundings of the Fondazione Cini in Venice. The World Superyacht Awards are among the most prominent of the superyacht world and Oceanco and Alfa Nero were proud to win the awards out of an impressive group of the world’s very best new superyachts.

In addition to the aforementioned awards Oceanco and Alfa Nero were also awarded the Yachts International ‘Most Innovative Yacht, 2007’ award, September last year.
