It just got bigger, better and stronger. The Singapore Yacht Show returned in style last week, attracting an excellent turnout of really high quality visitors to fully justify the participation from some of the world’s top yacht builders, brokers and exhibitors. The 2nd edition, held from April 27 to 29, inspired visitors and exhibitors alike with a fuller and finer line-up of some of the world’s most current and talked-about superyachts and finely crafted boats.

Hong Kong, May 2, 2012 – The complete list of nominees for the upcoming Asia Boating Awards has now been released (see below), with some new and unusual entries, as well as some industry stalwarts. Asian yacht builders have been growing in global market share and are now starting to get worldwide media recognition. In addition to reorganising the size categories, the awards this year feature a brand new category: Best Asian Built Yacht.

Mulder Shipyard has received new order from clients in the United Kingdom, marking a great start to 2012 for the Dutch yard. This is shaping up to be a memorable year in general, with the scheduled delivery of several yachts and the opening of a brand-new second facility, construction of which is currently in full swing. In every respect, Mulder Shipyard is ready for the future.

Feadship has launched the 67.27m (220’8”) Drizzle at the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. She has been created for clients who were inspired by the 2005 Feadship Twizzle, of which they were the second owners and had renamed Drizzle.

The brand new Amels 55-metre yacht, STEP ONE, had her first day out at sea on Tuesday, 4 April 2012. All tests were completed to the full satisfaction of Lloyds Register and the Owner's Representative, Moran Yachts & Ship.
