Everyone knows for sure – Monaco Yacht Show is number one among yachting exhibitions and those who are present there are no less than key players of the yachting industry.
On the threshold of the 18th Monaco Yacht we call your attention to the most interesting yachts that will be presented during the exhibition and that are really worth seeing.
ANASTASIA by Oceanco – the star of the show.
Presenting the largest yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show is getting to be a habit for Dutch builder Oceanco, which introduced Alfa Nero last year; this time it is the 75.5 m Anastasia’s turn to grace the company’s display. Launched in spring, with naval architecture by Oceanco in collaboration with Azure, this blue-hulled beauty is fitted with twin 16V MTU 4000 M90 diesels that give her a top speed close to 18 knots.
XANADU, CAMPER & NICHOLSONS INTERNATIONAL
The eagerly anticipated 59m Benetti project that Andrew Winch Designs created for a client of Camper and Nicholsons International, Xanadu was completed in July and CNI plans to showcase her at MYS 2008 .
SALUTE, PERINI NAVI
The owners of the latest yacht to launch in Perini Navi’s 56 Metre series which includes such beauties as Rosehearty and Selene, set a difficult challenge for the Italian yard and designer Ron Holland – build a single-masted version. Their answer was to go to a cutter rig, which meant modifying the keel and rudder lines to balance their higher centre of gravity. Salute is the stunning result and her 75m mast is currently the highest aluminium spar in the world, second overall only to that of Mirabella.
ADMIRAL 54
Launched in mid-summer , the inaugural 54m project from AMY – the joint venture formed by Cantieri Navali Lavagna and T Mariotti/Genova to build Admiral displacement yachts – will also debut at the MYS.
ALEXANDRA, TIMMERMAN YACHTS
Timmerman 47 Alexandra is the first transoceanic superyacht built in Russia. The 46.5 m displacement superyacht was created for a non-Russian owner, and is the result of the international collaboration between A-list designers, including Vripack Yachting and Bannenberg Designs.
