With two superyachts, the Sunreef 102 Double Deck and the Sunreef 114, already under construction, Sunreef Yachts announces its latest design, the 150 foot ONE FIFTY by Sunreef coming in response to what the company sees as a continuing demand for the special combination of luxury and performance offered uniquely by a catamaran.

The Warwick 45 metre sloop offers a simple clean design expression with large open deck space and single level main saloon with eye level seating, bar, dining for eight and large sliding roof.

Sunrise Yachts - the new super yacht yard founded by German entrepreneur Herbert P. Baum and French-British yacht-builder Guillaume Roché – is proud to announce two major milestones in its industrial and marketing programs: Hull n. 0181 – the first 45 meter of the Sunrise designs – has just been moved from the metal works facility into the brand new outfitting facility after completion of hull and superstructures; the company has also launched its new website yesterday.

Hakvoort Shipyard in the Netherlands has signed the contract to build a 39-metre displacement motoryacht for a Russian client. This will be the first ever superyacht project for the owner, who became attracted to the ‘Hakvoort look’ after seeing recent yachts such as Perle Bleue, Flamingo Daze and Spada. A visit to the yard and an agreement was reached for a yacht that is scheduled to be completed in 2011.

Burger Boat Company is pleased to announce that it has been commissioned to build a new 43 meter (140') custom motor yacht. This vessel has been designed over the past 18 months by Burger's team in conjunction with an experienced yachting family who currently own their third Burger-built boat.

This 55 metre motoryacht is particularly innovative in its courageous unusual architecture.

On May the 15th 1934, the William Starling Burgess Design J-Class Rainbow was launched at the Herreschoff Yard in Bristol, Rhode Island, USA. She was built to defend the America’s Cup against “Endeavour” in 1934.

SWATH - an innovative concept for smooth service in rough seas. The buoyancy of a SWATH ship is provided by two submarine hulls connected to the upper platform by twin narrow struts from each of the submarine hulls.

The idea of this design is based on a mix of workboat – research vessel – super yacht. The first impression is workboat/research vessels however it is styled and detailed to super yacht finesse.

While vacuum-bagging tests are being conducted on the moulds of the NAHEMA 120 (the largest composite catamaran in built at the moment), the interior modules are well underway.
