Fincantieri unique and perfect project “morpheus”

The ‘Morpheus Project’ was presented by its designer at Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

The London based Designer has been working in the yachting industry for the last 33 years and has designed such yachts as ‘Perfect Prescription’, ‘Carinthia VII’, ‘Pelorus’, ‘Air’ and ‘Kogo’ (the yacht was launched not long ago). The ‘Morpheus Project’ is also his work. This is what he thinks about his work.

“The ‘Morpheus Project’ at 115 metres (377 feet) is a motor yacht design that we feel will prove to be attractive to this elite sector of the yacht market. The exterior design displays features that we have developed from previous designs as well as new lines that set this yacht apart from all the previous work that we have done. We try to make all our yacht unique but we hope that people can see the same strength of design in the ‘Morpheus 115’.

Working our way up through the design we can see that the Bottom Deck contains engineering, storage, and laundry facilities which one would expect to find on this level. Stairways and service elevator provide convenient access routes up through the boat.

The aft end of the lower deck contains the guest “Wellness Centre” with gymnasium, treatment room, massage rooms, sauna, plunge pool, hairdressing and rest area. Sea terraces to port and starboard ensure closeness to the water which will make this part of the yacht a really attractive area to visit and experience.

Forward of this area we have four grand guest cabins with a stairway up to the main deck.

Forward of the engine room we have two VIP suites adjacent to the main staircase and the guest elevator. By situating these VIP cabins in this location enables the Owner the ability to provide the VIP’s with accommodation discreetly apart from the guest suites. Off the central stairway and elevator lobby, we have an access point to the yacht. Double doors lead to a Sea Lobby and then onto an opening terrace, from which the Owner & Guests may board the Yacht when at anchor. Forward of this area we have accommodation for 33 crew.

Moving up to the aft of the Main Deck we have our Boat House containing a fleet of four tenders and six jet skis, in reality the types and sizes of the fleet will be determined by the Client’s requirements.

Moving forward on the Main Deck we have a further two VIP Cabins, each with the luxury of their own private opening terrace, the Dinning Room, with seating for twenty two people, and the Guest Library which can also be used as a cinema.

Off the Central Stair and Lift lobby, we have a dedicated office for guest use, forward of which we have accommodation for staff (5) and crew (7). In this area of the yacht we also have the owner and crew Galley complex which is located adjacent to the service stairs and elevator. A large Crew Mess and Lounge spans the full beam of the vessel.

Moving up to the next deck level, the Bridge Deck we find storage for two crew tenders on the Fore Deck which has it’s own ‘touch & go’ Heli pad, our Bridge with wing stations in pods to the hull side. Accommodation for Captain and First Officer, crew stairway and elevator, the electronic Rack Room and Crew day head.

Adjacent to the Central Stair and Lift Lobby, we have the Owner’s Study, a Waiting Lobby with Cloak Rooms and aft we have the Main Saloon with separate conversation areas, games tables and a Serviced Bar. The Saloon benefits from panoramic windows on three sides, the central half of the aft wall of windows opens to provide access on to the 25 metre long aft deck space, incorporating formal dining tables, informal dining banquettes, sun beds and a 9.5 x 3.5 m (31 x 11 feet) Swimming Pool with a cascading waterfall from the deck above.

The deck above is the Owners Deck. The Owner’s Suite is situated at the forward part of the Owner’s Deck and has it’s own private deck overlooking the bow of the yacht. This private deck is equipped with both shade and sun beds, plus an intimate Jacuzzi for two.

The Owner’s cabin has 180 degree sweep of panoramic windows affording a great view from the centrally placed elevated bed. Single doors lead aft, on port side, to the Bath Room and on starboard side, to the Shower Room with dressing room. Double doors lead aft to the central Entrance Lobby and on to the Central Stair Lobby.

Aft on this deck is the Owner’s Saloon, a slightly smaller saloon than the Main Saloon on the deck below, but as that saloon it has large windows to port & starboard, with power operated doors to the aft deck. Three conversational seating areas are provided with a serviced bar to the port side. At this level the aft deck is equipped with a Bar and Barbecue Bar, a shaded seating area which becomes an outdoors Cinema at night. Rotating sun beds are located aft.

Above, we have our last deck level, the Heli Deck. Forward on this deck level we have the serious sun bathing area with Jacuzzi, this area can also be shaded with a large awning. Aft of the Stair lobby we have Shower Rooms, a seating area and ultimately the Helicopter Lounge with bar, which leads aft to the Heli Pad”.
