B+V 120 MY/X

In order to allow clients to profit from the Blohm + Voss large yacht building experience, the expert team of Blohm + Voss has developed a variety of custom yachts proposals. After presenting the “B+V 110m/fast” the second project to be presented is an exploration yacht: B+V 120 MY/X.

B+V 120 MY/X has been laid out to combine the capability of worldwide cruising at a maximum possible comfort for the Owner and 16 Guests and above all enough space for a vast amount of exploration equipment.

The propulsion plant has been designed to achieve lowest noise and vibrations levels, highest maneuverability performance and maximum environmental friendliness by means of a diesel-electrical propulsion system powering 3 pod drives for a maximum speed of 18.5 knots.

Starting in the main entrance lobby, which is located in the “eye-shaped” feature on Main Deck, a grand staircase and a lift are leading up to the Bridge Deck. Going up to the very top and located in the aft part of the Bridge Deck one finds a lounge with seating areas that has impressive 180 degree views.

Just down one deck facing forward, the Owner’s Deck has a very spacious duplex Owner’s suite that is connected via a private staircase to the Owner’s spaces on the Guests Deck. This enables the Owner to observe the view not only from the bedroom but also from the two bathrooms, one on each side, and from the gym located just behind the massage room. A few steps down the private owners staircase the Owner’s Saloon is overlooking the exterior deck with a direct access to the Jacuzzi in the bow area. In the vicinity a spacious Owner’s office including a meeting area has been foreseen.

For the Guests 8 cabins are available, namely 6 guests cabins on Main Deck and 2 VIP duplex suites (two levels) each with bedroom on Guests Deck and dressing room and bathroom one deck above.

Also located on the Guest Deck are dining and lounge areas, as well as balconies on each side and ample exterior spaces around the swimming pool.

Service areas and service corridors have been carefully planned in order to be completely separated from the Owner and Guests areas.

At water level a very spacious beach club distributed over two levels with access to bathing platforms provides a very unique setting for relaxing as well as entertaining.

The yacht has enormous storage capacities, there is space for tenders that range from

5,5m to 16m in length, a seaplane, an amphibian car and there is even space for an 8.50 m submarine.

Last but not least, for maximum aviation flexibility the yacht has been designed with 2 separate heliports.

The primary helicopter landing area is located in the aft part of the Owner’s Deck and is strong enough to support a 5 ton load. Located just below the touch down area a fully enclosed hangar provides shelter for one helicopter.

The second helicopter landing area is located at the forward part of the Guest Deck with direct access to guest areas.

If all the aforementioned is still not enough, a viewing area located in the very forward part of the bow overlooking the sea at approximately 8.50 m height above water finalises the unique features of this very special yacht.

The exploration yacht B+V 120 MY/X is guaranteed to be the ultimate “SUV” (Sports Utility Vehicle) at sea.
