CRN is proud to celebrate another launch following the spectacular event for the 60-metre "MS" just over a month ago. On Saturday 18th, in a private ceremony for the owner, his guests and the shipyard staff, CRN launched the “Rubeccan”, a splendid 43-metre, displacement maxi-yacht, the third hull to be completed in the highly successful CRN 43 composite line of vessels.
The heartfelt words of greeting from CRN President Lamberto Tacoli emphasised that the owner, “who already has another of our vessels, a 35-metre ship, believed in us even before this complex was in place”. Naturally, Mr. Tacoli also made sure to greet and thank the CRN staff, reassuring them that: “Despite the current international financial crisis, we can look to the future with untroubled confidence, thanks to the successful results of the recent past”.
The launching continued, with the traditional breaking of the bottle, which led to the moving ceremony of the boat sliding down into the water, a moment met with an enthusiastic ovation and made all the more stirring by the notes of the celebrated aria “Con Te Partirò”, which played in the background.
The “Rubeccan”, whose name was created by combining those of the owner’s two children, sets itself apart with its impressive volumes and extensive open-air zones, such as the covered well areas of the main deck and upper decks, lodged in the midst of the majestic white hull. At a length of 43 metres and a width of 8.6, the yacht can easily accommodate 10 passengers and 9 crew members, navigating in complete comfort at a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.
Designed in a joint effort involving the technical staff of CRN and the Zuccon International Project Firm, which handled the external layout, the vessel has a distinctive interior decorative scheme, masterfully crafted by the shipyard’s design office to meet the needs of the owner.
A number of the features most admired by the owners of other CRN ships can also be found on the “Rubeccan”, including the Technogym workout room, the sauna in the stern portion of the lower deck and a fitness and wellness area that offers direct contact with the sea, thanks to the main stern hatch, which, when opened, transforms itself into a beach platform perched over the water. Another feature is the balcony of the owner’s suite, outfitted with comfortable armchairs and a coffee table, so that it makes a perfect site for an exclusive breakfast on the sea.
The interior decorations, supplied by high-fashion labels, such as the Italian design company Loro Piana, which manufactured all the fabrics, make for a perfect fit with the masterfully crafted furnishings, creating an ideal atmosphere of exclusive taste and modernity.
Built with four decks and a bulbous hull, the vessel’s entire production process was handled at the Ancona shipyard: from the formation of the moulds to the lamination of the hull, all the way to the design of the furnishings and the decor. With every phase of the production process under the direct control of CRN, the quality and reliability tied to the company name were guaranteed.
