WALLY CALENDER OF EVENTS

Six regattas and three boat shows are the appointments of this year for the Wallys.

The calendar opens with the Wally Class first appointment of the racing season: the Pirelli Trophy in Portofino, Italy, organised by the Yacht Club Italiano, May 1-4. This event offers a breathtaking view of the big boats berthed in the tiny harbour of the fishing village.

The Tre Golfi Sailing Week is organised in Capri by the Circolo Italia of Naples from 29 to 31 May, and offers a great opportunity to sail among the beautiful Neapolitan Islands.

The Giraglia Rolex Cup is the classic offshore race of the Med season. The start is in Saint Tropez on Wednesday June 18th, and the finish is in Genoa after 245 miles and the round of the Giraglia rock, north of Corsica. Before this race, the Yacht Club Italiano organises three days of coastal racing in Saint Tropez.

The Boat International Silver Jubilee Superyacht Regatta is a mega yacht gathering in Porto Cervo, Italy, that is held in June 23-26 and organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

After the summer cruise, the Wally Class will return to Porto Cervo for the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (September 1-6), organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and regarded as one of the most spectacular super yacht regatta in the world.

Wally will participate to the Cannes Boat Show, September 10-15, with the new 64 WallyPower, the 47 WallyPower and the WallyTender. The yachts on display can leave the dock for sea trials.

At the end of the month, Wally will display four yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show (September 24-27), the most important event in Europe for large yachts.

The Voiles de Saint Tropez (September 28-October 5) ends the Wally Class racing season with its unique gathering of classic and modern yachts in the old harbour of the glamorous French town.

The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (October 30-November 3) closes the 2008 calendar and it is the US market appointment of Wally, that participates with a booth in the Super yacht builder and designers tent.
