INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARDS ANNOUNCES ITS FINALISTS

"Oasis", L?rssen Yachts

26 July 2007, Fort Lauderdale ISS (International Superyacht Society) released its lists of finalists for the 2007 International Design Awards. These yachts represent the very finest naval architecture, design, interiors, engineering and builds the large yacht industry presents in the preceding calendar year.

"My Issue", Moonen Shipyards

The individual selection of each finalist results from ISS membership voting for five finalists each in five categories from nominees submitted throughout the year by the large yacht industry’s leading builders, designers and stewards. The winning yachts in each category are announced at ISS’s annual International Design Awards Gala, this year on October 25 (from 7:30 P.M.) in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale.

"April Fool", Feadship/Royal Van Lent

With the yacht finalists identified, ISS is now seeking nominees for its annual Distinguished Crew Awards (DCA). This most coveted industry acknowledgement is also presented at the ISS’s annual gala and has become one of the evening’s most anticipated announcements.

"Como", Alloy Yachts

Industry, media and superyacht owners are encouraged to reflect on outstanding crew performance and to submit nominations for the DCA’s two categories: Individual Distinguished Crew and Team Distinguished Crew. Specifically, these honours are designed to “recognize yacht crew whose distinguished acts of service best exemplify the standards to which professional yacht crew aspire."
