Sunrise yachts opens new facility

Sunrise Yachts - the new super yacht yard founded by German entrepreneur Herbert P. Baum and French-British yacht-builder Guillaume Roch? – is proud to announce two major milestones in its industrial and marketing programs: Hull n. 0181 – the first 45 meter of the Sunrise designs – has just been moved from the metal works facility into the brand new outfitting facility after completion of hull and superstructures; the company has also launched its new website yesterday.

The company is keeping pace with its plans: The two 45m Paolo Scanu designed sister-ship motor yachts with interiors by Franck Darnet are well under way, with scheduled deliveries in 2009. The Sunrise 45m, a full displacement, long-range motor-yacht, with high-tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, powered with 2 MTU 12V2000M70 engines is built to Lloyd’s / MCA requirements.

The moving of the yacht, - the largest vessel currently in build in Antalya - under the supervision of the shipyard’s international technical team, was a sensation at the Antalya Free Zone (see photographs) and was completed just in time for a group visit of 9 brokers from Camper & Nicholson’s International, marketing partners for the Sunrise 45, who enjoyed an extensive visit of the shipyard. Michael Payne, from CNI Monaco, stated after the visit: “A remarkable facility which justifiably endorses Sunrise Yachts as a significant super yacht builder.”

The new Sunrise Yachts facility is now one of the largest in the Eastern Mediterranean, with two halls measuring 100m long and 16m wide as well as a 70m by 16m fully acclimatized laboratory-style paint shed. In addition to its own production, the shipyard will undertake new construction and refit projects (power and sail) up to 65-meter in length and 1,500-ton displacement.

Great response was received to the company’s announcement of construction slot availability: numerous inquiries for new build yacht projects from 39m to 60m (128’ – 196’) in length are currently under consideration.

The company also established its Internet presence with the launch of a new website featuring an extensive picture gallery of the Sunrise 45m, including interior styles created by Franck Darnet Design, a downloadable brochure with detailed specifications, a press gallery and a spectacular virtual reality video.

Go to www.sunriseyachts.com, click on A Short Film, allow a moment to load, and enjoy the future Sunrise 45m sailing…and keep an eye on the website for new 55m and 65m designs to be introduced in the near future!
