Perini Navi Group announces a new contract for a 40 metre cutter
Perini Navi Group proudly announces the sale of the 40 metre cutter fast cruising, C. 2180, with a delivery slated for 2012. This contract is the third new contract signed in 2009.
Designed by Perini Navi’s in-house naval architects together with Ron Holland, this project will boast high performance with her light weight aluminium hull and superstructure, with displacement optimized at 210 tons.
The yacht is rigged with a 50 meter carbon-fibre mast and carbon in-boom furling along with Perini Navi reel captive winches and control system. Shrouds are made in Nitronic 50 for those on the bow and verticals, Pbo rigging for the diagonals and backstay.
This new contract signed in December 2009, further adds to Perini Navi’s production plan 2010-2013 and presently includes 11 yachts: 8 sailing yachts with Perini Navi Brand and 3 Vitruvius motor yachts with the renewed Picchiotti brand.
Besides the 40 meter C.2180, two 56 meter sailing yacht (completing the series of 10 unit already sold so far), two 45m steel sailing yachts; the second of the very successful 38m performance sailing yacht series constructed in Sealium; one 60 m sailing yacht, the second 50m sailing yacht and three motor yachts: a 50m, 55m and a 73 meter in the new Vitruvius series, a project that will re-launch the historic Picchiotti brand in the world of luxury yachting.
