MONACO YACHT SHOW AND ITS PREMIERES
As there is still some time to see the yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show which opened yesterday, September 24 and will close on Saturday, September 27, we shall introduce you a few more premieres of the show.
PERLE BLEUE, HAKVOORT
The custom 38m Hakvoort motor yacht that was delivered last year for an experienced superyacht owner Stanley Bey, Perle Bleue was exhibited at the 2007 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. But if you missed her there, now’s your chance to view her striking French Modern main saloon, designed by Donald Starkey.
CUSTOM LINE 112 NEXT
As its name implies, the new 34m Custom Line 112 NEXT updates the entire Custom Line series. The result of a design collaborationbetween Studio Zuccon International and Feretti’s Advanced Yacht Technilogy division, it has larger and more plentiful windows than its si bling 97, as well as a wide selection of Italian furniture and soft goods to help owners personalize their yachts.
LEOPARD 46 m, RODRIGUEZ GROUP
The lithe look of the high-performance Leopard series of Open yachts is unmistakable when you pass one. This summer, the Rodriguez Group fiiled in a gap in the range which runs from 24 to 56 m, with this handsome 46.2 m model. Triple MTU 16V 2000 main engines coupled to KaMeWa water jet drives provide a blazing top speed of 32 Knots.
ORAS, WESTPORT YACHTS
Oras, one of the latest hulls to launch in the popular 40 m Westport 130 series, will be on display, reminding European clients of the high performance, low-maintenance attributes of t
hese US built composite yachts. The yacht is powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 main engines, designer Bill Garden’s proven hull provides Oras with a top speed of 28 knots and a transoceanic range of 3450 nm at 12 knots.
MAIORA 38 DP, FIRA GROUP
Although Maiora has been building its successful high-speed 38 m semi-production series for some time, this summer marked the launch of a custom version, the 38 dp. The yard worked closely with the owner to personalize the yacht’s interior to suit his tastes, including adding convertible berths to enable him to accommodate additional guests in the five-cabin layout.
