  Guido de Groot Design has developed a new Fifth Ocean 28 meter modern styled three-deck twin engine displacement motor yacht with bulbous bow, designed for worldwide cruising. Fifth Ocean Yachts are built at the Fifth Ocean Shipyard in Nikolaev, Ukraine. The city of Nikolaev is known for over 220 years of shipbuilding traditions and was the ship construction centre for the former USSR. Several research vessels, frigates, cargo and military vessels for Russia and Soviet Navy have been built here in the past.
  The young company is combining knowledge of Dutch naval architects and designers, British project management and Ukrainian shipbuilding experience. Professionals are gathered with vast experience and skills in the shipbuilding industry.
  Interiors for Fifth Ocean Shipyard are done by the joint venture of Fifth Ocean Yachts and the Italian yacht interiors manufacturer Riina Ltd. This company has a rich tradition in the construction of interiors for European luxury yachts and it is able to manufacture interiors of any complexity with high level of quality.

                                     

  Apart from the very large outdoor areas including a flybridge area and a recreation area on the forward deck, the Fifth Ocean 28 meter yacht has a very novel interior general arrangement. The yacht can accommodate up to four guest cabins and has an owner’s cabin situated on the main deck with a split level bathroom layout. The yacht has an overall length of 28.30 meters with a beam of 7.60 meters. With two CAT C12 engines of 526 kW each, the yacht reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots.
  One of the advantages for Fifth Ocean Yachts customers is the price of its yachts. Prices can be up to 30% less in comparison with other European yacht builders due to lower labour costs in the Ukraine. Concerning the quality of its yachts, surveyors and project managers from Britain and the Netherlands will assure construction according to today’s Dutch quality standards.
  All together this will make Fifth Ocean Yachts a good alternative to other low cost countries such as Turkey and some Asian countries.
