Alloy Yachts underway with AY43
Soon after SY Kokomo was launched from Alloy Yachts’ Bay 6, the space was back in use as the team started construction on a 47m flybridge motoryacht. The award-winning team of Alloy Yachts, Dubois Naval Architects and Donald Starkey Design is working together again to build the spacious motoryacht. The same team created Allogante, now known as Loretta Anne, which won the 2009 ISS Award for the best 24-40m motoryacht.

Isa launches Mary-Jean II, its 60-meter motor yacht
Perfectly as scheduled, on a rainy morning in mid-May ISA launched the elegant motor yacht Mary-Jean II. This motor yacht designed and built by ISA, 60 meters long with a beam of 12 meters, has been launched at the presence of the owners, Yachting Partners International, who have project managed the construction on the owners' behalf, the interior designer, Mark Berryman and some of Ancona main authorities in addition to ISA's top management, employees, workers, families and friends.

Go joins Feadship SL39 family
Feadship has launched the third yacht in the exclusive and pioneering SL39 modular concept. Go was christened at the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw yard in Aalsmeer (NL) in March. She will be ready for delivery in April, well in time for a new owner to take the helm and embark on a maiden season to remember.

Global Explorer Yachts proceeds with construction of 41m Evolve Project
The 135ft luxury superyacht from Global Explorer Yachts currently being constructed in Brazil and on the market is due for completion in February 2011. Beneath its’ sleek exterior it is very much designed as an explorer/expedition vessel. Carrying some 80,000 litres of fuel giving a range of 7000 miles at 10kn with a cruising speed of 12.5kn, this vessel is made to go places.

On Friday 22nd January, before a large crowd, the keel was laid for Rainbow. The original Rainbow, commissioned by Harold Vanderbilt, was built in 1934 to defend the America’s Cup against Endeavour. Rainbow’s defense was successful, but Rainbow was sold for scrap in 1940.
