The new Pershing complex: where dream boats are built.
In via J.J. Pershing, in Mondolfo (PU), the scene has changed, as a life-size Pershing yacht looks as though it is about to take off into a world of new emotions. This is the effect of a huge, astonishing set built to look totally realistic. Beside it, through huge sheets of plate glass, held in place by steel cables, you can see people working with dynamism. We are in front of the new Pershing headquarters, a futuristic structure where extreme high-tech design marries the requirements of complete functionality. A glass walkway suspended over water and carrying the company mission: “We build exclusive, high-performance yachts that turn our passion into emotions for our clients” leads into the complex. And you can already breathe in the Pershing atmosphere, an atmosphere made of performance, design and supreme class. Innovative juxtapositions of materials, visually striking design details, warm furnishings and elegant fittings distinguish every environment. The most highly advanced comfort and technology create operating areas where work becomes a real pleasure. The building that houses the management offices is a four-storey block of approximately 2,000 m2. This gives way to two further structures, specifically designed to ensure maximum production efficiency. The first incorporates a production department of approximately 6,500 m2 for 48’ to 115’(15 to 35 metres) yachts, whereas the second, occupying an area of about 6,800 m2, is dedicated to the production of 37’ to 45’ (12 to 15 metres) yachts and includes an area for storing and fitting out craft and preparing them for painting. A third building, covering an area of nearly 500 m2, has been equipped for painting and situated next to that is the tank used for water testing. The entire complex, requiring an investment of over 12 million euros, covers an area of 53,000 m2. Every single detail of the new Pershing headquarters has been designed to meet the company’s continuous growth in production and the steady expansion of the company’s range, also in terms of the dimensions of the individual boats. A modern, functional complex, totally in line with the Pershing philosophy Yachting into the future. |
