Abu Dhabi’s ADM Shipyards launched the 462.5 ft. megayacht Yas (ex. Swift 141), which now ranks as the world’s 6th largest, just ahead of Crown Prince Sultan of Saudi Arabia’s Al Salamah and David Geffen’s Rising Sun. The vessel was once an ex-naval frigate that was converted into a high-rolling luxury superyacht. The yacht is rumored to have been commissioned by a member of an Arabic royal family. Yas’s distinctive narrow profile was built on the steel hull of a former Royal Dutch Navy Frigate built in 1978. Her frigate hull and lightweight composite superstructure help to enable the enormous vessel to reach impressive speeds of up to 26 knots.
ADM Swift 141 megayacht Yas´ modern interior sleeps a maximum of 60 guests, looked after by a professional crew of 56. She features an automatic stern platform, amazing outdoor pool and spa, a helipad, a highly-sophisticated audio-visual entertainment system, a garage for water toys, as well as door made of carbon-fibre functioning as a boarding or swim platform.
