Today dozens of Russians have their own yachts, motor boats, inflatable boats and sailing yachts. A few years ago only the elite could afford to own a yacht, today even people with moderate means can afford to buy a small motor boat.

Timoneer the 44.7m Dubois designed ketch sailed in to Falmouth Harbour in Antigua yesterday completing their transatlantic delivery in a leisurely manner and with time to spare to prepare for the Superyacht Cup Antigua which starts on December 12th.

In summer, 2007 a grand celebration took place at Bodrum Marina, TURKEY, as Aegean Yacht unveiled its new vessel GALILEO, the 50 meter classic three-masted schooner. This superyacht has become the 40th yacht launched at the Aegean Yacht boatyard and the biggest of her type in the history of Turkish boatbuilding.

WHIGHT NIGHT OR ANOTHER VIEW ON THE YACHTING OF THE FUTURE

White Night is a 105m yacht with a "petit" superstructure designed in a time of continual size increases which are now resulting in the ultra large mega yachts currently in build. We developed her to express an opinion about this current situation, bigger and bigger boats are reminiscent of the cold war, rather like an arms race! No longer is a 130m yacht so unusual or so impressive. So we thought about an alternative approach, another way for the wealthy among us to express themselves through their yachts.

The manufacturing capability of Muir has surpassed all expectations. The 2004 Tasmanian Exporter Of The Year, and an Australian Manufacturing Exporter Of The Year, received an order just prior to Christmas for the supply of an anchoring system for a prestigious Australian owned mega yacht, but the manufacturing requirements were almost half that of the standard lead time.
