Shipyard is extending its international profile with new orders from Germany and Spain.
Recent deliveries to New Zealand, Italy, Russia and an upcoming delivery of a Mulder 92 Flybridge to a client in Egypt prove that there are no boundaries to the popularity of Mulder’s yachts.
Mulder recently sold two new aluminium Convertible yachts. The Mulder 59 Convertible will be delivered in 2010 to a Dutch client. She will have a top speed of 24 knots thanks to her two Volvo D9 engines of 575 hp each. The second new order is for a Mulder 68 Convertible, which is slated for delivery to the North of Spain in 2009. She will have a dark-blue hull, an off-white superstructure and twin Cat C18 1015 hp engines that offer a top speed up to 30 knots. Her interior will be finished with cherry wood. Like every Mulder Convertible, the yacht will have a large tender garage in the stern with a hydraulically operated door.
“We are an innovative Dutch yard and our yachts are known for their top-quality finish and great performance at comfortable speeds,” says yard owner Dick Mulder. “We have made a deliberate choice to extend our international activities. The fact that our yachts are doing so well around the world in such a highly competitive market makes me very proud.”
At the start of the year, an aluminium Mulder 73 Wheelhouse was delivered to her Swiss owner and in the near future a new 73 will be handed over to a client in Italy. A Mulder 63 Wheelhouse also recently set sail for the Mediterranean. The Mulder 73 Wheelhouse has been the recipient of enormous attention, which led to new clients in Germany, Holland and, again, Italy choosing this elegant aluminium yacht. Additionally, Mulder Shipyard is building a Mulder 92 Flybridge for delivery to a client in Egypt in 2008.
“Our yard is currently taking measures to meet the anticipated growth in demand,” says Mulder. “In 2006 we opened a completely new carpentry workshop and further expansion is now being actively considered.”
