47 metres of streamlined elegance, with a side-loading tender garage, a full-length hard-top with sliding side windows, and four-fin, zero-speed stabilisation.
She was constructed at Alloy Yachts in New Zealand and was launched on March 12th 2012. She has a big galley on the main deck and the owner’s suite forward, while one of the four cabin spaces down below is fitted out as a gym.
Powered by Caterpillar engines, she cruises at 14 knots, with a max of 17 knots and a range of 3,500nm at cruising speed. Loretta Anne’s Canadian owner, for whom the yacht is named, has been around yachts all her life, and this new launch will be the fifth Loretta Anne she and her late husband have owned. The first to break the 30m barrier was a 35.3m Crescent build (now Don’t Worry) launched in 1995. The latest incarnation is another leap up in size and follows the 40m Loretta Anne (AY38, launched as Allogante in 2009 and now renamed Loretta Anne IV) and the 38.8m Loretta Anne (AY28, launched as SQN in 2003 and now Mazy), both built by Alloy Yachts. This is, however, the first yacht commissioned from Alloy as a new build, which allowed the owner to have a full say in her design.
