The specialized team of riggers from Perini Navi's Cantieri Beconcini have successfully completed the transfer of the hull designated C. 2134 Vitruvius 50 meters, from the main square of Cantieri Navali Beconcini to one of the three sheds of about 3.200 sq m situated in front of the Gulf of La Spezia.

The transfer was made by a travel-lift for very large yachts.

The Picchiotti-Vitruvius 50m, is the first motor yacht sold by the Perini Navi Group, and is currently under construction at Beconcini wi th delivered scheduled for next spring.

A second motor-yacht under the Picchiotti brand has been recently sold: Vitruvius Explorer 55m, which will be built in compliance with ice-class standards, in order to complete the North-West passage, the sea route through the Artic Ocean, via the water-ways of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This second unit will be delivered to her Owners in Summer 2011.

Vitruvius Yachts Ltd and Perini Navi have appointed the award winning Philippe Briand to be the naval architect for the project. The experienced owner‘s brief called for efficiency, seaworthiness, robustness and sophisticated elegance.
