Following the delivery of the Mulder 73 Wheelhouse Float last year, a new yacht of the same type was recently delivered to a client in Italy. With two Caterpillar C12 engines of 715 hp each, Fairwind’s top speed of over 22 knots is exceptional for such a yacht.

The all-aluminium hull is the key reason why such a performance is possible. A white superstructure and hull are combined with a number of teak details in high-gloss paint, giving the yacht an elegant appearance.
Fairwind‘s interior is made of cherry wood with panelled doors. While Float had had four cabins, the owners of Fairwind opted for just two staterooms: A VIP and a master. Limiting the number of cabins means the interior is very spacious. The master stateroom, for example, has room for a large desk and a practical bookcase.
A double crew cabin with shower and toilet is located in the stern, along with a large tender storage. This area can be reached via a large hydraulic door.
Mulder Shipyard recently sold a number of other Wheelhouse yachts to clients in the Netherlands, Italy and Germany, which will be delivered in the coming years.
