The manufacturing capability of Muir has surpassed all expectations. The 2004 Tasmanian Exporter Of The Year, and an Australian Manufacturing Exporter Of The Year, received an order just prior to Christmas for the supply of an anchoring system for a prestigious Australian owned mega yacht, but the manufacturing requirements were almost half that of the standard lead time.
The order was for a shipset of VRC22000 windlasses, the largest in Muir's extensive range of products, with a lead time of less than 4 months. A complex system which would normally take upwards of 6 months has been competed in record time due to the special request by the yacht's captain and engineers.

Muir's capabilities have been tested, with this order being prioritised amongst Muir's already full production schedule, but the importance of this order was a significant factor in achieving a shorter delivery time. The anchoring system will be shipped to NSW and Muir will oversee the installation prior to the yacht's departure for international waters.
This is just the start of things to come from Muir who have ramped up production to keep up with the demand for the quality products throughout Australia and the international market. Muir is now a preferred supplier of anchoring systems for the world's finest mega yachts up to 110 metres, and has recently supplied multiple anchoring systems to yards including Germany's leading builder, Lurssen. Muir is about to release a new range of recreational anchor winches, and already supplies more than 85 percent of all Australian production boats including Riviera, Mustang and Whittleys.
