It is a usual practice for most companies to keep their flagships till the industry exhibition event. Those who attend such events on a regular basis can understand what we mean. It is no secret visitors come to the Expo Halls not only to see the everpresent sparkly newcomers, but to enjoy those surprising bargain offers, which make the shows so famous. A show is the high time to sign the most lucrative contracts: when the carnival is over and all gowns are already in the wardrobes, the numbers in those contracts seem to be unreal.
It is a usual practice for most companies to keep their flagships till the industry exhibition event. Those who attend such events on a regular basis can understand what we mean. It is no secret that visitors come to the Expo Halls not only to see the everpresent sparkly newcomers, but to enjoy those surprising bargain offers, which make the shows so famous. A show is the high time to sign the most lucrative contracts: when the carnival is over and all gowns are already in the wardrobes, the numbers in those contracts seem to be unreal.
One of the surprises is already being whispered in-crowd: the German shipyard Farmont has prepared something very special for the Moscow Boat Show 2010. Farmont is famous for its skillful semi-custom projects built on unique designs patterns and of the high-tech materials. Here we will say just a few words – still the impressive scope to be seen – just to tease and not to spoil the coming surprise. According to recent news, during the show time (February 20 - 28, 2010) the famous motor yacht Farmont 70 will sell at the unprecedented and even shoking price of €1.4 million. Further information will be available in the booth of Boatmarket. A conservative estimate of the discount, so far, is not less than €1 million, while the regular price for such a yacht is about €2-2.5 million. However, no need to add more details: anyone who knows the prices and knows the yacht’s characteristics will just agree with us. Let’s see what we have here first – 70 feet length which puts her right in the superyacht category. However length is not еру only feature she has to call her a luxury boat. Her exterior is custom designed by the Rene van der Velden Studio, while the interiors are created by the top yacht designer Joachim Kinder. Each cabin is a hand-made piece of art, by the way, equipped with a separate bathroom. Only the art component alone makes the yacht a true masterpiece worth of being put in a modern art museum. However, if the future owner will be more a techie by nature, he could easily display the boat in a high-tech supershow. She is built of the most modern and innovative fiberglass with epoxy, hard as twisted steel, however lightweight and not exposed to rust. Just note that earlier glass-epoxy composite was used as construction material only in aircraft industry and space engineering. Just have a look at other characteristics: Displacement: 92 tons Max speed:14 kn Main engines :2x Cummins QSM11M, each 450bhp Up 20 guests and crew and active roll stabilizers Ideal, just perfect!
However there is one peculiar detail – the yacht is already 4 years old. However, one should remember the yacht has been only used as the expo model in Cannes and Monaco and was cherished to the highest standards. Thus, the age can be just ignored. In short, the yacht on show is a real bargain. If the contract will be signed, the generous nature of Russians will definitely pale before the unexpected generosity of Germans, able to make a discount of as little as €1 million. Are you ready for such a surprise? P.S. Yet the most interesting point is to see the answering shots of other Moscow Boat Show participants. However, it is hard to believe someone will outdo the Farmont guys… Rate:
