Italian yacht builders CRN, a world leader in the construction of luxury megayachts, has reported great success during the last quarter.  From June 1 to August 31, 2005 the Ancona shipyard has signed 14 contracts for the construction of new vessels ranging in length from 30 to 56 meters.
In addition, a letter of intent has been signed for the construction of a 72-meter yacht (designed by Nuvolari & Lenard), which would become the largest ship ever turned out by the facility.

No fewer than 12 hulls were sold under the prestigious Custom Line name.
All the CRN and Custom Line vessels, including the two new projects, are products of the working relationship between the shipyard’s technical staff, the Zuccon International Project firm and the engineering support of the Ferretti Group.  Another exceptional figure is the number of hulls simultaneously under construction at the shipyard.  Twenty vessels, made of either steel or composite materials, are currently being produced.
The Navetta 43, the largest Custom Line maxi-yacht under construction, kicks off a new line of displacement ships made of composite materials.
The constant attention focused on the ship owner both before, and even more importantly, after the sale of the vessel, is part of the reason for the shipyard’s exceptionally high sales, made possible by a large number of  “repeat clients”.
Further reinforcing the technological excellence of the Custom Line are the Anti Rolling Gyros (ARG) stabilizer devices, patented by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and today a standard feature of the fleet.  Also a standard feature is compliance with the provisions of the MCA Short Range code, the latest set of safety regulations issued by the Maritime Coastguard Agency, especially for maxi yachts measuring from 24 to 38 meters.
Upcoming commercial efforts of the shipyard, which has created an internal marketing office whose tasks include studying new markets, include major programs and investments in the emerging areas of the Asia-Pacific and Russia.  Other new markets such as Croatia, Turkey and Lebanon have begun to open up for CRN and Custom Line.
